Dr Lisbeth Jacobs
General Manager- International
Lisbeth leads the international team and a portfolio of international activities and contracts in the areas of health, science, engineering and education. She brings a wealth of experience in corporate strategy, Research & Development and academia. Lisbeth is also the Honorary Consul of Belgium.
Dr Mark Dorreen
Director, Light Metals Research Centre
Mark oversees all of the Centre’s research and commercial consulting activities in the field of aluminium smelting and related primary aluminium production industries.
Director- English Language Academy
Julie has overall responsibility for the operational performance of the University of Auckland English Language Academy (ELA). The ELA provides English language programmes for students interested in pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as customised group and teacher-training courses.
Director Business Development – Health
Kelvin has been with UniServices since 2008 in various roles. He has extensive international business experience across a number of sectors including biotech, pharma and nutrition. Kelvin is passionate about translating New Zealand research excellence into real world outcomes that can improve people’s lives.
Director – International Operations (Education)
Cara is responsible for the offshore delivery of projects, collaborating with international Government and University clients in the education sector. Successful past collaborations have been undertaken in the Middle East, Malaysia and Mexico. Cara also works with international government education providers and University of Auckland academics to develop initiatives for customised international professional development and training programmes for delivery offshore or in New Zealand.
Director International Business Development - Education
Bryan is responsible for marketing education and training products and services in South East Asia and the Middle East. He has a specialist knowledge of English pathway, Schooling Improvement and Foundation Studies programmes.
Dr Judith Hammond
Judith currently manages a bio-medical programme based at the Liggins Institute which aims to accelerate the discovery and translation of knowledge to make a positive impact on long-term maternal and off-spring health. She travels to China on a regular basis and welcomes the opportunity to explore opportunities for research collaboration and commercial opportunities for pre-clinical and clinical research.

Pretesh connects University expertise in Engineering and Science with international partners (industry, academia, governments and funders) who are seeking to add value through innovative research and development.
Dr Pau Medrano-Gracia
Business Development Manager- Science and Engineering
Pau connects the capabilities and expertise in Science and Engineering with international clients. With over 10 years’ experience in R&D, and an honorary member of the Department of Anatomy and Medical Imaging, he understands both Academia and Industry. Pau welcomes queries in English, Spanish, French or Catalan.
Business Development Manager- Health
Kevin is responsible for developing opportunities in pre-clinical research. His priority research areas are in oncology around immune modulators, checkpoint inhibitors, antibody drug conjugates, hypoxia-activated prodrugs, PI3K inhibitors and peptide and organic chemistry from drug discovery through to candidate selection for clinical trials.

Shauna oversees projects which develop and profile the University of Auckland Innovation Institute China.
